A few years ago, Pastor Benny Hinn invited me on his television program to
share my testimony of being set free from cocaine and heroin. A young man
Pastor Benny knew had gone back on drugs and had unfortunately overdosed
and died. He told me that he has seen and heard of so many people with a similar
story. They got saved, seemed to really love the Lord, but for some reason they
fell back into the same old problems. In this young man’s case, it was drugs, but
it could be anything. The enemy has a list of ways he wants to destroy you. It
may be anger, debt, divorce, or illegitimacy. Maybe you or someone you know
battles with depression or failure. Sometimes the war is with poverty, and, as we
all know, the list goes on and on. So what is the answer? Simple, it’s right in
front of us. It has already been taken care of, but as I will say over and over
again in this book, Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge.” I explained to Pastor Benny that the Lord showed me that I had
gone to Calvary to receive my salvation, but I didn’t stay long enough to receive
my deliverance.
